Posted on June 2023 by VinnieDue to forecasted storms this weekend (all three days), including lightning, heavy rain, and wind, in the interest of public safety, the Riverfront Parks Committee is cancelling RiverFest. It will be rescheduled to Saturday, August 12.

Shakespeare On the River 2019
Posted on September 2019 by VinnieGaslight Theatre and the Riverfront Parks Committee present the second annual SHAKESPEARE ON THE RIVER. This year, we’re presenting “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged,” a 90-minute, improv-based compilation of the Bard’s work. This performance is FREE and will be held at the River Commons Amphitheater located where Northampton Street meets River Street in Wilkes-Barre.
