Riverfest is awesome! Many suggest a (rented) kayak or canoe trip with a flotilla of fun-loving river riders, if you have the chance. The river-side events are great fun, and (watching) the dragon boat races is fun, too. Hope for good weather!

I participated in the Dragon Boat Race last year and in fact gave an interview on dragon boat racing with Wnep Tv immediately following our practice session. To be able to participate in Dragon Boat racing with a company that is based in Canada was a true honor and privilege, and to do so on one of our most valuable assets the Susquehanna River was priceless. Thank you Riverfest for putting on the event, an event which incorporates so many wonderful things to see and do from kid friendly and family oriented events, to kayaking , to art and nature sessions, painting murals, live entertainment, fishing events, to providing live animals, and most importantly putting wilkes barre and our valuable historic landmarks and natural beauty like the Susquehanna on the map for others to enjoy. It is with great pride in our valley with the heart that I commend everyone who is involved with Riverfest and River Commons. My kids and I just assisted in painting the mural yesterday 6/8/13 with Jan Lokuta that will be displayed at River Commons and it was a pure joy to do this every year, and in fact I submitted several photos of the event for others to view including my interview with wnep on the dragon boat racing. Every year my kids also attend the Riverfest activities and we really enjoy every one of them. Keep up the great work!! We look forward to seeing everyone at Riverfest!

Anyone have any idea of the time of day when performances are scheduled or when activities are scheduled. Can find very few times listed except for buses & kayaking.

I went on the kayak trip from W-B to Hunlock Creek a few years ago and this was a great experience. The Wyoming Valley is rich in the history and it is great to see this event each year. I hope the area will support this event for many years to come and people will come out to experience Riverfest in The Wyoming Valley. Hopefully, one day, the Dragon Boat event will draw even larger crowds.

Thank you Angela!
