RiverFest – 2023 Paddling opportunities
Posted on June 2023 by VinnieCelebrate the River at RiverFest! Join us for a Canoe or Kayak trip on the
Susquehanna River.
Trip 1 ‐ Friday, June 23 (4 ‐ 7pm)
Evening Paddle thru the Wyoming Valley
West Pittston to Wilkes‐Barre’s Nesbitt Park (3 hour evening trip)
Paddle through the Wyoming Valley. Arrive in Nesbitt Park.
Shuttle Busses Leave Nesbitt Park at 4pm.
Trip 2 – Saturday, June 24 (8am‐2pm)
Celebrate the River Tour
Paddle from Apple Tree PFBC Access Harding to Wilkes‐Barre’s Nesbitt Park (4‐5
hours). Join the activities at RiverFest Celebration ‐ Food, Fun and Music.
Shuttle Busses Leave Nesbitt Park at 8am.
Trip 3 – Sunday, June 25 (8am‐2pm)
River Tour
Paddle from Nesbitt Park to Hunlock Creek. No tandem kayaks or canoes or
children under 12 allowed on this trip due to Nanticoke Rapids.
Shuttle Busses Leave Hunlock Creek Access off Route 11 near Drive Inn at 8am.

Event Fees: Pre‐Registration is required/Registration is included with rentals.
Registration includes shuttle bus transportation, T‐shirt, river guides,
insurance, etc.
$25 Event Fee: Bring Your Own Boat ‐ We Will Shuttle You
fee covers shuttle buses, guides, insurance, water, bathrooms & T‐Shirt.
$50 Event Fee with a Recreational Kayak Rental (life jackets provided)
$75 Event Fee with a Tandem Kayak or Canoe Rental (2 person)
