Trail Guides
Kirby Park: In 1999, the Riverfront Parks Committee developed and designed a Riparian Trail Guide for the Kirby Park Natural Area. Over 25,000 trail guides were printed and continue to be used educate school groups and other park users about the flora and fauna and history of the Kirbay Park Natural Area. More recently, Dr. Ken Klemow, Professor of Biology at Wilkes University has converted the trail guide into user-friendly podcasts that can be downloaded and used with iPods and MP3 players for a hike along the trail or used in classrooms with computers. To download this podcasts click here
